Gonna start getting hikes in with a loaded pack, anyone have reservations about using their good pack frames for training? I was simply going to strap a 35lb dumbell to my loaded up pack. I know they’re built for that but I dont wanna put undue wear & tear on my straps etc.

The wife and I will soon (August 16th), be en route to Wyoming for a speedy 3 day sightseeing & camping locations weekend. Maybe I can even get in a few hikes and glassing. Very excited to get shoes on the turf before I make the trip to hunt!!!
2019 Spartan Palmerton in the books, 8 miles, 87 degrees, 3350’ of vertical gain. Was a tough one, back held up well until the bucket brigade about mile 7, was hurting after that but finished strong. 2019 Trifecta complete, Aroo!!
