Let the gov't goat slaughter begin!

Hunting is in fact allowed in some of the national parks, depending on how the park was established. Voyageur's N.P. in Minnesota is an example, and I believe that some hunting is permitted in the Teton N.P.

Colorado 9 pp where would you go ?

JimP is right on with this advice. My CO elk tag last year jumped from 8 to 11 pts., and luckily I had those 11 pts. I have been point creeped 3 times in CO units that I expected to draw in. Sometime you feel like a dog chasing his tail. All it takes is some media posting on a big critter...

    Mountain Lion Hunt With Dogs!

What they don't often show is what they had to go through just to get to that tree. Like any hunt, some may come easy, but most of them don't.

What did you get for Christmas guys?!

When I was in the Marine Corps in 29 Palms, we would catch scorpions and vinegaroons out in the desert and bring them back to the barracks to have "cock fights". I don't remember which one was the victor. The company Gunny shut that down when he walked through the squad bay one day, but he did...

    Who else is...

Hang in there Marcus. Remember that your goal isn't just 10# or even 100#, but rather a lifetime one. When you feel like slipping, look at your family and do it for them as much as for yourself. You have a lot of us on your side praying for you on Wednesday.

    WY Antelope Unit Info

Be sure that you look closely at the statistics page before you apply. The unit where I hunt, the special tag takes the same points to draw as the regular tag.

    Need help!

Buckbull gave you a good place to start. Google the info on the outfitters on his pic, find out if their hunts are the type of hunt that interests you. Also their web sites should list the units that they hunt. Once you have the hunt unit, you can look on the Wyoming Fish & Game web site...

Could of would of should of!

You just have to keep moving or they throw dirt on you. It's better to be in shape than to get in shape. Start walking, improve your diet, expand your exercise routine as you start to plateau. Your life can change in an instant, so live it to the fullest every day. CARPE DEIM

    Happy New Year!

I'm starting off 2020 with a late season cow elk tag in WY. It's a 2019 tag, good until Jan. 31st. If the conditions are right I might even get an opportunity for a lion hunt. My main hope for this year is that the country can survive the socialist revolution. Peace and good health to all.

What did you get for Christmas guys?!

I got an Eberlestock Mainframe pack. It's not like I don't have enough packs already, but I have suffered too many times on the pack-out. As I slowly become less able to do what I have done in the past, anything that I can do to extend my time on the mountain is worth the investment...

No problem with not having snow here. It's been quiet for the last week or so, but we've gotten 49" so far. Plow, shovel, plow, shovel, repeat. Am caught up now, but for my morning workout, plan to ride 9 miles into the hunting shack on a snowmobile to do some more shoveling.

If humans were scored in Boone and Crockett ?

I suggest that we go with shoe size. I wear a 10W. The W (wide) may give me a few more B&C points, but for sure I would never make the all time list. Shaq wears a size 22, making him more than twice the man that I am. Andre likely had him beat. All this just goes to show how much an anomaly...

    jocularity

I was so poor when I was growing up, that if I wasn't born a boy I wouldn't have had anything to play with.

    Can’t make this stuff up..

I had a great-great uncle who owned a resort in NE Minnesota (around 1915) who jumped on the back of a large bull moose as it was swimming across a lake. They had a photo of it that became a very popular tourist postcard. My mother told me that it almost became a writ of passage around Lutsen...

    Africa 2021

I am sure that you will have a great time 25, but be forewarned. I know three different guys who have done an Africa hunt, and the $5K trip turned into $20K+ by the time they were done. It's hard to restrain yourself when you are surrounded by critters that you have never seen before.

Don't put all your faith in onx!

There are fences running everywhere through BLM and some NFS land. Mainly they fence off different grazing lease areas, protect specific habitat, or were just put up decades ago when someone wanted to "claim" an area for their own use. Snowmobilers see wire everywhere in the middle of federal...
