X2 I picked up a pair of Cablelas Inferno a few years ago from their Bargain Cave, warmest boots I have tried and they are pretty light for how warm they are.

My kids use a 7mm-08 and my wife uses a 25-06. We've killed a lot of animals with both, the 7mm-08 is one of my favorites it hits hard and has a fairly wide selection of bullets available. The only negative experience I have had with the 25-06 was with cheap ammo, it has performed flawlessly...

I never played around with the liver but when I was a kid at hunting camp we would fry up deer heart for breakfast whenever we could. You would not notice the heart at all in burger. I have never been a fan of liver of any kind so I can't comment on that.

Original plans were Deer and Antelope in Wyoming with my daughter, but with all the comments about the poor antelope numbers I am having second thoughts. Either going to stick to plan A or possibly have my son skip a couple weeks of college and burn up his Wyoming Elk PPs.
