Im curious what the harvest reports will tell us....its been a weird year for a lot of places and species. Harvest reports for whitetail here in MN are way down this year as well. It was unseasonably warm for the first half of that too.

Thanks for the replies. I tried a couple different box ammos early on, settled on federal because that shot the best through this gun. When I put the time in and shoot, I can get it to shoot 4" groups at 200 yards....for only a few shots it turned out.(5-10) I cleaned it after shooting....shot...

Started home workouts again a few weeks ago. Mixing in with pack hikes. 6 weeks until my late season hunt. Trying H.I.T. this year vs standard running/biking.....hope it pays off.

Thanks. Its an annual trip for us so we have our accomodations lined up already. I was just curious if there were guides that would take you hunting for a day or so, without the whole experience if that makes sense.

Has anyone on here ever hired a guide for a day or 2 in Colorado, specifically Meeker area? Are there guides/outfitters that do it? Going on our annual trip to colorado this november and since our group is only my dad and I this year Im kicking around the idea of lining up a guide for him.

I called out to Montana and the fella said typically they have a numbers of units that have leftover opportunity, expect this year. He said this is the first time all the tags went out. Even including all the archery opportunities. Thanks for the other feedback. Ill keep digging and planning...
