I have the points to draw a NR Mt. Emily archery elk tag this year. Figure I better try while it's an off year for outfitter tags. I have a good chance at a conflicting Utah tag. Does OR allow you to turn your tag back in if necessary? Anybody been to Emily lately? Thanks.

Well at least I got something. Dropped this dink Tuesday evening and am ecstatic. There are so few moose in this unit I felt bad shooting one. They need all the help they can get. I've only seen 2 bull moose in 10 days and they were both this size. No regrets. Headed home this weekend.

Anyone ever seen any griz in unit 20 by Alpine? I will be hunting solo in early October. Never hunted that far north. Closest was deer region G. I prefer to backpack in 3/4 days, but not sure if I should do so solo. Also does anyone know any guides up there that might pack a bull out? Thanks.

Anyone know why the success rate on moose in unit 23 dropped to 43% last year? Just curious. I had been applying for it the last few years but switched this year partially as a result of that.
