I do have several antelope areas in mind, just haven’t researched if and which ones should be at full potential this year.

    Antelope or deer?

I’m highly considering applying for one or the other this year with 7 NR points. I’m on the fence on which I should go for, mule deer or antelope. I can’t take enough time to do both and want to make the best of the week I will have. Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated. I will be...

When did you kill your first deer?

Black tail 1982, I was 12. Dad gave me the rifle the night before opening day. The first time I shot the rifle I shot my first buck. I still hunt with my ‘Ol M70 25-06.

How Do You Breakdown an Elk?

It all depends on the situation, how far, temp and how much help do I have. My favorite is get them out whole and hang them like a deer with a tractor.

This is the only picture I have of it. This was taken back in the early 90’s. Since then all he has done with it is truck pulls. It hasn’t been on the street in 25-30 years.

I sold this 77 about ten years ago for $4000. I sure wish I had it today, I can’t believe what they are going for now. It was a the Silverado with 400 small block and 400 trans. Straight as an arrow with zero rust. The only rig I’ve ever regretted selling.

You have any pics of that 65? I have a 65 SWB 4x4 project. It’s a long long ways from being much but someday I will build it. I need to find everything but the frame and box to make something of it. A friend of mine’s dad has one with an LS6 454 in it, it’s a beautiful truck. He’s had it since I...

I think I’ve narrowed it down to fuel pressure. I have a new fuel pump showing up today. I’ve replaced everything else, fuel tank to carburetor and everything in the ignition system. It runs like a top till about 4500rpm then acts like it runs out of gas. I’ve had both Holley and quadrajet carbs...

    $1400 in my Bank Account!

Sheep Hunting With Bow or Rifle?

I drew a bighorn tag in ‘11 I had a bow in camp but not once did I consider bringing it on the hunt. I ended up shooting my ram on day 12 with my 25-06 at 13 yards. No way would have been able to come to full draw and kill him, he would have got away

    Who taught you to hunt?

My dad thought me the basics, move slow, keep the wind in your face, read sign and how to shoot. The rest I learned on my own. The basics have served me well.

Let's see the best elk you have on trail camera.

Looks like he liked lower elevations in June. I often wonder where the bulls go after the rut where I typically hunt. They sure don’t stick around much after mid October.
