I did when I was 10, BB gun. I placed 11th in the state and oldest brother placed 10th. I didn’t even have a BB gun yet. I won my first one from qualifying for state. The club dissolved after that and I never got to do anything like that again.

It all depends on what and where I’m hunting. I used to scout all year round for Blacktail, they don’t move much. I have an archery elk area I don’t go into till after September 12th. This year I drew a Nevada deer tag in an area I’ve never been to. You could say I started scouting google earth...

I just ignore the unpleasant ones, there’s still some great guys here.

Well, when I first got it it wouldn’t eject. So I sent it back to Kimber and the did repair it fre of charge. I’ve not had any issues since. I do however wish I didn’t have a clip. I would much rather have no clip like my M70

I think I bought mine a few years ago, kimber hunter. Not wildly expensive, shoots well, M70 action, light and ugly enough I don’t care if I scratch it. Kinda like a good pick up.

I will Let you all know if I draw. I’m very aware of point creep and if there is a reduction in tags I very well could not draw.

Thank for everyone’s input. I elected to try for an antelope hunt this year. I was leaning that way initially and the feedback here solidified my decision.

What’s considered back pack distance? I can do day hunts hours from my truck, I do it often here in Oregon. I guess I should clarify I’m how much im willing to hike in and out a day. I would rather hike for two three hours and sleep in a comfortable camp, especially when I’m solo.
