I agree with what's been said above.
For the hunting ranges you mention it's not needed.
I did get a scope with side focus on my new .28 Nosler but for hunting I set it at about 300 yards and just leave it alone.
It is nice while sighting-in at the range though ... it really makes the targets...
I have a Standard size tripod from Outdoorsman and it only weighs about 4 lbs including the head.
I don't think that's bad for such a sturdy tripod.
But you are correct, they are expensive.
I know it’s not the same part of Colorado, but it’s been raining here in Woodland Park a lot lately with more in the forecast. Al the plants have greened- up nicely.
