Are there any good OTC elk oppurtunities with archery tackle in Oregon? Areas? Any info helps.

I want to hunt elk with my bow next year and I was looking for some OTC or easy to draw permits (1 year) So I can chase some bulls in 2012. Any sugestions helpful.

I was looking as to maybe go on a Spring bear hunt. Is baiting bears legal in California? I am just curious on a good area to hunt as I have never hunted bears before.

I got a chance to shoot one last night. It was very fast. I was very impressed by how smooth and easy the draw cycle was. Just one problem. The back wall was not very good. Personally I would not spend the $1,300 some dealers are going to ask. Anyone else shot one?

Picked up a Bowtech Invasion yesterday. All I can say is wow! That thing shoots like a dream. My 40 yard groups are what my 20's looked like before. So impressed.

How did you all do with the old stick slinger this year?! I got my first bow kill ever! It was an Antelope the 72-73 inch range in Nevada.

As most of the seasons are closed or coming to a close, how did you do this year? I'll start it off. I shot a nice P&Y class Antelope with my bow in August (First bow kill), and chased a 200 gross buck, but couldn't close the deal on him, and shot a 150 class deer on my last day. Success? Missed...

I would say it's a .300 Win. Mag. as you can shoot as low as a 110 grain bullet, and up to a 220 grain bullet with plenty of knockdown power for even an Alaskan Brown.

Anyone know when the new Bowtech is coming out??? Any rumors on what it might be??

Got my first Archery kill (the Antelope) with a 40+ yard shot after sitting 38 hours in a blind. And then hunted hard until the last day and shot my deer at 500 yards!!!

Hunted hard until the last day, for one of the monsters we were hunting. After hiking in every day in the dark, we ended up setting up and letting 5 hunters push the bucks to us at about 10 am! Funny how things work out!

With all the Sheep tags they already give out, who thinks they should start to give out some of them for the Stick-and-String hunters. What are your thoughts?
