My dad got me a single shot Chipmunk .22 and I passed that to my oldest son who learned to shoot on it. My other two boys got something similar. When they were old enough to hunt big game it was a .243 and .270.

So sorry to hear about your loss! I cannot and do not want to imagine when that day comes. My dad has been by my side on every one of my hunts and now still goes along with me and my boys. I guess all we can do is keep going and do what they taught us as a way to honor them.

Thanks Winchester. I decided to pass on it with not enough time to scout and not being able to hunt opening day. I have thought about unit 82 in the past and passed because of the private land. I would like to get down there and scout some before pulling the trigger in the future.
