    I don't have much experience down there but for the Jeep tours...A couple hours drive to the S.W. of Grand Junction is Moab Utah. My son has done Jeep touring there and really enjoyed it. It might be worth a look.

    One just has to look at what the Sheep Show auction brings in for some of the permits....$440,000 for a Montana bighorn, a couple days ago! Wow! Even if I had excessive money, there isn't an animal walking the earth that I'd pay that amount to kill!

    Alaska Fishing Trip

    I'd look hard at Kodiak. It's an interesting town, good restaurants, museum and some roads to drive. But, that said, I probably wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. Splitting your time between a couple towns...Kodiak and Seward for instance.

    I have one but have not used it yet. A number of guides I know do use them, so far none of them have been eaten by a bear! The guys I have talked to about them say that they work and have zapped bears but I think the general consensus is that you just may sleep a little better with it set up...

    Favorite Hunts

    My absolute favorite is Sitka blacktail deer on Kodiak Island. I've been hunting them since the late 1970's when the limit was 7. I've only shot a couple with a bow, no clue how many with a rifle. A close runner up would be caribou.

    I shot a cow elk at 250 with a 150 grain Nosler partition from my .270 winchester. Does that count? I didn't recover the bullet but I love partitions!
