He passed away on December 7th. He broke the sound barrier and was a WWII ace. He was also a avid fishermen and Hunter. Rip Chuck you were a great American Hero.

Cabin i used to go to in west Virginia had a picture of him on the wall . A couple guys used to hunt with him . May he rest in peace

He hunted in Alaska several times. Unfortunately I never got to meet him. A true aviation Icon!

I worked at Northrop for 22 years and the General was a consultant after he retired from the Air Force. I met him for the first time at a Management Club dinner. He was very interested in our F5G program and as I was in charge of pre-production planning, we had a lot of meetings with him in attendance. He dropped by my office one time to discuss our production plans and saw some pictures I had on a wall of a golden trout fishing trip to the High Sierras. We got to talking about fishing and hunting. He always remembered names and would always say "Hi, Roger, hows fishing?".
