Was able to find the muleys that I saw for a glance a couple weeks ago. They certainly are skittish of a ranger and a person walking already. Two are shooters for sure with my bow. I hope the next month I can pin down the movements.

Took my 11 year old son with me for first time elk scouting. We had an amazing adventure. We did over 20 miles in 48 hours covering 3k ft of elevation up to 12K feet. We found two legal bulls and about 21 other elk. Cannot wait for the season to start next month!

Turkey #2 this year, 22#, 9 in beard, 1 in spurs. Shot at 12 yards out the back window of blind and only went a couple yards then piled up. Even with 25 mph winds and gusts to 40 mph today pays to scout and know where they roost. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

Boys sat in the blind for a couple hours waiting for some turkeys to stroll by today......never happened but had fun watching squirrels and other animals play just outside it.

My biggest accomplishment so far was a 149 2/8 whitetail I took with my bow in 2012. Having one of my sons track it down was a great thrill watching him get closer and yell when he found it. In the future I hope to take a bull elk with a bow and help my kids all take their first big game animals.
