Colorado Elk Scouting

Took my 11 year old son with me for first time elk scouting. We had an amazing adventure. We did over 20 miles in 48 hours covering 3k ft of elevation up to 12K feet. We found two legal bulls and about 21 other elk. Cannot wait for the season to start next month!

Was able to get some pictures off my camera now. Trying to pore over maps and google earth to get a good idea of the travel pattern for the area. 36 days to go!

That looks area looks pretty familiar to me as well.

I'm thinking you went with with a unit other than the original plan of hunting the Flat Tops around Meeker.

Ya after doing some research and talking to people I found this unit, and then found elk.
