Same here. The new blades don't hold an edge very long. I used to debone a couple of deer on one blade but now feel like it's pretty dull by the end of first deer. I still love the replaceable blade concept so I might shop around and see what else is it there.

Short answer is yes, you can hunt the private located inside the WMA boundaries. However, pay agent to any new info that comes out for 2026. I typically don't look at deer hunts until late April so I can see the new regulations and tag numbers.

We had it pretty easy. In the middle of a herd of 500 at first light. 3 whole elk in the truck by 9am. This time of year is feast or famine. Good luck!

150 grain in 7mm-08 is very effective on elk. Don't over think it. Out to 300 yards, virtually any factory load will work fine.
