Just got back from this hunt. I'll post the whole thing on the success thread page. Horrible road conditions limited me to about half the unit. I found a ton of deer but only 2 mature bucks. This was the bigger of the two. Fun hunt...but dear Lord...I can't imagine burning 17 points for this...

All unsuccessful for me. But I have my South Slope Diamond Mountain deer tag from the Expo, so I suppose I can’t be too disappointed !

Probably with landowner tags or by hunting another state and taking their massive donations elsewhere. Be nice to see Utah FW squirm when they balance the budget in a few years!

Ended up taking a small 3x3. Hunting was tough for mule deer! Lots of whitetails and passed a few decent ones hoping for a big mule deer. Ended up finding this one in with a group of does on a WIA. Fun hunt! Not quite what I expected, but beautiful country!

Miracles do happen! I drew a tag at Hunt Expo this year- Any legal weapon South Slope Diamond Mtn. Anyone hunted here? Excited to have a decent deer tag for once! 🎉🎊🎉🎊 I'm guessing that means it's the same as a Multi Season tag but I won't get the official info until March it looks like. Good...

Started the season off in Alaska and ate my sheep and brown bear tag. That one hurt! My boy killed a cool whitetail opening day with his crossbow. Still waiting to fill my OH and KY tags. I took a decent whitetail and antelope in Wyoming on our annual hunt. Worst hunt we've had in 8 years but...

Last year my goals were to test all my gear for my sheep hunt this fall....I THINK I succeeded. 2021 Goals- 1- Make my sheep gear testing worth it by killing a dall in August 2- Kill a big(ish) mule deer. I have 2 chances, Wyoming Rifle Y and SD rifle 27B. Fingers crossed!

Looks like I drew one of 16 NR rifle tags for 27b. Never hunted SD but I've spent some time scouting around the area. Any tips on the unit would be greatly appreciated!

Decent elk tags I’d agree. Kinda surprised at a couple of them. Deer and antelope though….yikes!

My group didn’t apply as a group because we all have different point goals. None of us got skunked but there are some shockers! Very interested to pour over the data and “leftover” list…if there are any lol
