Check your bonus points!

My have deer points have gone to zero, but not holding my breath until I see it officially on the draw results screen.
I would feel pretty good if I were you. My deer points went up one!

Which unit did you put in for?

My elk and antelope points are still the same as they were before.

My son will be hunting for the first time this year, so why not start him off with a Bridger Mountain mule deer tag! Successful was posted. Should be a great hunt. Beginners luck and I only had one point. Anyone draw that tag before?

Well.......

No 380 tag
No Bridger Buck tag
and antelope is not posted.

Just got the phone with a customer at work and he drew a 380 tag on one bonus point!! and hes a non-res!! Im gonna help him scout a little bit before the season just to help him out. I do have a question for everyone though, any info on the unit would be great, just tryin to help a friend out so he can have a good hunt on this awesome tag. I don't need coordinates just a starting area. Any help with be much appreciated. Cheers Guys

Now that is a monster tag for your customer! And a huge antler year to boot! There are huge bulls all over that unit. Somebody at MT FWP in Helena should have some specifics.

Unsuccessful!! I am a first time Elk hunter and have no idea what to do now. Thought I had a special permit for sure with multiple bonus points for a breaks (which I have done a TON of research on) tag but I was wrong. Could any of you guys help me out with where I should go with a general tag? My ENTIRE game plan has been thrown off and I have no idea where to start. I live in western ND so I would like to hunt probably around central, south central MT. Is there any good public lands or general units around Bozeman? Seriously any help would be VERY much appreciated for this first time elk hunter. I prefer bowhunting but am not afraid to go with my 7mm later in the year if that is what is preferred. Thanks guys!

Thanks guys! Is unit 392 the Big Belts? I'm guessing that area is heavily hunted since its close to Helena but thats ok with me as I usually try my best to get as far from the roads as possible. I've never elk hunted before and am used to strictly spot and stalk (muleys and antelope). Is this area more for spot and stalking or do I need to be really good with a call? From the research i've done so far it seems like the Big Belts are more spot and stalk friendly due to more open areas as where the Little Belts are pretty heavily forrested? Thanks again guys, every piece of info is EXTREMELY appreciated!!!
