No argument about that here!!!Id prefer a deadhead becoming a world record than a Denny Austad Mossback animal becoming one...just my personal thought though. At least that animal died of age instead of being watched and hounded by a pack of mossbacks crew waiting for the HIGH paying customer

I agree! I thought Boone and Crockett, pope and young, or record animals was for harvested animals not an animal found dead of old age. I also don't agree or would ever pay thousands for a hunt to shoot an animal that has been watched for years just waiting for the highest bidder to harvest him, but each to his own. I'm not dissing anyone who has hired a guide, just think an animal found dead shouldn't be in the same class as a fair chase animal. IMHO!!That is one great sheep. But I have concerns......
I have never really been in favor of animals found dead qualifying for the record book. I just feel that to be listed as a true trophy, it should have been taken during a fair chase hunt, not found dead. Just my hangup I guess.
I agree with this....something like when Roger Maris broke Babe Ruth's HR record. 61*They should list them and their score in the BC book... but not number them I feel...
They should # the biggest in order that were legally hunted.
ie...
1. 205"
* 204" found...
2. 200"
I bet there are alot. Im sure there are some monsters that were left in the field or thrown away years ago before most people saved horns too.could you imagine some of the animals that have died and never been found. stuff dreams are made of.
