Had some thunderstorms roll thru yesterday and a lightning strike happen real close to the house. Lost the phone, cable box, cable modem, one outside receptacle, bed (has message and vibrate feature). It tripped 6 breakers in the panel. I was home when it struck, sounded like a bomb going off and the house shook.

IDK why my friend has to have his funeral (oops I meant wedding) on 9/14. I could be headed for Idaho with a general deer tag and wolf tag in a few days if I hadnt been dumb enough to promise him I would be there........

I should of disowned this friend too I think. Wouldnt be quite as bad if I thought he was making a good choice on who he is marrying but honestly I think its the biggest mistake of his life...... They were originally going to do it in August which would of been better since I was harvesting and knew I couldnt go, but then they changed it to September which sounded fine at the time but now Im done with harvest and my antelope hunt doesnt start till 10/1 and Im really itching to go hunting even if I dont see a darn thing besides trees and rocks!!!

Cabelas had a pretty good stock of .22lr's yesterday!!!!! Mostly CCI 40gr. It was just nice to see some on the shelf again. I was surprised they didnt have any .30-30's at all and only 1 type of .22-250.

Archery season closed here yesterday and no luck for me this year. Still plan on using the stick and string a little when rifle opens in a couple weeks. Though I won't hesitate to go out with the rifle either. I really hope the temps start dropping soon.
