I really dont like the weather man right now. He is calling for rain and I really need a few good days so I can get winter wheat planted and make a mad run for WY to hunt speed goats!

Weather man was right. Raining pretty steady. Dont think Im gonna make the opener of antelope season.

More rain. Ran the tractor for an hour in the rain to finish fertilizing tonight. Really not looking good for making opening day. Really wanted to get there 2 days early to scout but thats definitely not going to happen at this point. Guess I should be happy to be going at all
We are getting snow in the mts around Reno. Leaving Sunday for a buddy's bull elk. With this cold weather it finally feels like time for hunting.

Supposed to push 80 this weekend though so it won't last long. Got to love northern Nevada weather in the fall.

He is doing a few shows in CA too. We saw him last year. Great show and the most down to earth singer I ever met! He stays after the show and does pics, autographs and talks to everyone that wants to meet him. It was pretty neat! My girl and I kinda got a tradition started where he's playing at. A couple times a year we go to a concert there. We go early and eat at a restaurant near it, get a little drunk at the concert and stumble to the hotel across the street. Its something different and a nice getaway 50 miles from home

Its raining and raining and raining. Think Im going to be hunting the 2nd week of Antelope season instead of the first now

All packed up and I have no idea when I will actually get to leave but Im ready Im really tempted to go now and let it dry out here while Im hunting but I really dont want to go in a big hurry and end up shooting the first antelope I see and rush back so I think I will wait.

Mid season worked out well for me last year. Think Im just itching to go hunting Umpqua It would be alot easier waiting if I was busy and getting something important done here but sitting around watching it rain and doing things things that really dont matter cuz I cant do anything else is driving me crazy!
