I have to admit, I'm a little jelouse. I've always wanted a '72 Blazer. Maybe they will let me cruise it around now and then??

P.S. Anyone have a grill and bumpers laying around ??

I have an 600+ HP aluminum head 427 Big Block in a sand rail that will slide right in there, I may have to do and engine swap one weekend just to check it out??

I do plan to waking up the 'Ol 350 a little though. I'm excited for them! I may have to run off all the redneck teenage boys though when they see this thing crusing around with 3 cute girls in it!

Make sure you plate the frame in at the steering box before you put the beast to the test. Nobody looks cool cruising thru the Micky D's parking lot with a broken frame hanging off. That looks like a ton of fun!! I agree they may have a dude magnet there. Sorry for your luck.

Keep an eye out at salvage yards. A grill and bumpers from a pickup should be the same. There is also lots of aftermarket stuff out there for it too and LMC makes reproductions of about anything for it. LMCtruck.com ttt is right, that era of 4x4 chevys has a history of the frame cracking around the steering box and the steering box bolts breaking or coming loose especially with bigger tires. You can make a plate and reinforce it or there are some companies that make kits to reinforce it too. Around town if its solid now it shouldnt be a problem, if its going 4 wheeling much it will eventually have problems. Looks like a neat project!

Obviously a water hole pic...can't believe folks put their cams there trying to stake claim to the spot.
