My birthday is coming up next month and I am trying to give the wife some ideas for a nice gift for under $100. I am debating on just telling her to put it into my tag fund for next year haha.

What are some sub $100 pieces of gear you have bought or been gifted that are awesome?

Possible things I am looking at:

Nice headlamp-I usually buy mine for $9 on Amazon never had bought a "nice" one
Clothes-I have a nice system from FL/Cabelas but open to hearing specific pieces
Knife-I have a Havalon Titan but I suppose a nice knife from my wife can be more decorative or a keepsake
Ice fishing stuff-Nothing to do here in ND during winter otherwise haha
Reloading Gear-Just getting into it and bought a RCBS master kit with 30-06 dies, brass, and bullets
Archery- Looking to upgrade my sight this year I have an older G5 sight.
Painting/Wildlife prints

A gift card then you can find something you want and add alittle to it.
That's likely what she'll end up getting, but thought I would get some ideas for her if she wants to pick out an actual gift. I have been wanting some art prints for my mancave as I bought a house a few months ago.

I have found gift cards make me the happiest. lol
Haha I have $400 in Scheels credit right now, that's only a few hundred away from a Bergara B14 Hunter!

I am debating on waiting until next year for them to come out with a lefty though..

A new Benchmade mini-Barrage pocket knife is sure sweet. They run just a bit more than your limit at $125.00 real world price in stores. Great pocket knife that certainly could be used for dressing deer, grouse, fish! It has a perfect blade shape and size for a variety of tasks and has a spring assist opening that is pretty cool. It also locks up tight with an additional feature that is pretty neat.

Get your name engraved on the side to make it a little more personal! You cannot go wrong with a great pocket knife!

I'll throw something else out there that I really like and think is the cats meow! Both of these products are fantastic and you cannot believe how well they work. You save a lot of energy getting around in wet slick conditions and have are a lot safer from taking nasty falls!

The Hillsound add shows them on hiking shoes, but they work great on pack boots or other hunting boots.

Trekking poles, though you'd have to get them on a good sale, or join my never-ending search for the perfect pair of gloves. You might not use them where you hunt, but I have started replacing my trail cams with Brownings. The upgrade in quality over any other mid-priced brand I've found is huge. Maybe a really good thermos.

I do my best to avoid giving my wife hunting/fishing gear gift ideas. She has the best of intentions but rarely picks out what I would actually want. It would be like you buying your wife makeup or a new hair dryer. Likely not going to buy what she would get for herself. That said, she has done great a few times. To name a few through the years- Nice 2 wheel game cart, high end Cabela's socks, tree stand harness, life vest, trail camera, game processing table (awesome for cleaning fish), popup blind. All of of those can be found for around $100 or less.

yup. even though they mean well, women typically have no idea when it comes to hunting gear. take the $99 and run.

If you/or the gifttee doesn't already have reloading gear, get the Lee reloading kit for your favorite caliber; with the hand press and balance beam scale. With dies, bullets, powder, brass that will be over the $100 limit, but for $100, you'd get a lot of what you need to get started. I use my Lee set to make my .280 ammo since 2014.. Love it.

A replaceable blade knife is a great one under $50.

Year membership for onX or a chip for the state they live in.

Binocular pouch/harness is also a good one for a hunter.

Good set of game bags.

^^ Agreed ^^

I'm really picky about certain things and could not agree with Hilltop more. For Christmas from the wife (and mother-in-law), I stick with things like socks, tools, household items, etc., stuff that I know I need, but don't really care about brand or quality. Saves me $$ to use on hunting stuff I really want.

One hunting thing to consider -- Kuiu has zip off base layer that are ~$90 a pair. Zippers down leg mean you can put them on or take off without removing your boots. Love them!
