Since my Nv big game hunting season is over I figured it would be a great time to get this thread going.

Good luck to everyone!

About my only chance for next year in NV is deer now that I'm the waiting list for both antelope and elk. I doubt I'll be lucky enough for a NR sheep tag considering I used up all my luck on the last 2 tags! Oh well, sitting good for tags in both WY and CO over the next few years will keep me hunting. :)

All my seasons are done also, but a buddy just hit me up to go depredation bull hunting tomorrow. He says he found 2 bulls Saturday, so we will head in to try and relocate them.

May as well start looking forward to 2018, since between myself, my son and my bro in AZ we drew 0 tags this year.
I'm getting up there in bonus points for desert bighorn and mtn. goat, 12 for each. The problem is that my age is also getting up there, I turned 55 this year and the mountains keep getting steeper and higher.

Big plans here too! I already have the vacation days crossed out for 4 hunts, 4 states and 4 different species. 2 will be OTC/General hunts and 1 is a whitetail hunt I have plenty points for leaving only 1 up to the draw but I should have the points for that one also.

I will probably draw a sheep tag...

I'm not done with 2017, but I did apply for my 2018 NR Wisconsin bear tag a couple weeks ago. I've got almost double thee points needed, so I'll draw. Pretty well know what I'll be putting in for in Wyoming, and unless I get real lucky, I'll be hunting General again, which has treated me we'll.

Bump this back up.

I’m thinking rifle for deer for my first 2 choices then archery for the last 3

Rifle Elk

Rifle doe antelope, in waiting period for buck

Rifle for all others.

7 points is a tough Non-Res place to be... Likely still a long way from drawing Antelope or Elk... Maybe deer if I opt for an easier to draw early hunt or go archery... But, hope springs eternal... Good luck to all!

You're way past due. I drew elk with 7, antelope with 9, and 3 deer tags over that time.

Sure wish nevada would change up seasons and go back to pick your weapon for bucks bulls and antelope.
Need to give these animals some breaks on preasure. I think it would make for better hunts.

Similar Extrapale, I drew the toughest antelope tag with 8 and elk with 9 as a NR. One of the best things about Nevada is at least you have a chance to draw and your chances go up quickly with squaring points. When you do draw, the trophy potential is hard to beat!
