I got a short one in this morning. Also got the new puppy out for a short workout with the goose wing in the snow that is piling down.

Started doing my wife's power lifting workouts with her. They are kicking my butt. Going to start ruck training this week too. We both have different goals but like training togther.

My wife started some aerobic routines, asked me to do a few of them. This may be interesting!

Good work Sig. As a retired Nat'l Powerlifting Champ, it's addicting. Good Luck!

bonecollector thanks. It's funny one day my wife said hey I want to talk to you about something tonight. I was like ok? We have a great relationship so I wasn't thinking like she wanted a divorce or anything but still I was kinda weirded out. She said I want to start power lifting. I thought she meant like just lifting weights instead of cardio stuff. Nope she meant full on power lifting she has a coach/trainer she she works with remotely that's the New York women's champ can't remember which association. She's only been at it a few months thinking about doing a lifting meet in December. She said she will be in the best shape of her life at 40. I can see progress already. We have turned our garage into a gym. I just built her a deadlift platform Wednesday night. Good stuff

The meet ain't over til the bar hits the floor! Good for her Sigpros. Keep us posted on both of your progress.
I used to coach a team while I competed. They called my "boss" - lol. It was a great 15 year run. I only lost 1 meet. I could have won, but choose to attempt a PR instead of sampling winning the meet on merit. I would not want to lose that way, so I did not put my main competition in that situation. He was stunned and spoke to me about it later. He respected my decision and I hope I made an impression on him.

My best lifts at 198lb (drug tested for life- sponsored via Nasa)
Bench: 515
Squat; 650
Deadlift: 615
Power Curl: 175

I was the 198lb Nat'l Champ and won the Most Valuable Lifter in Nation (pound for pound lifter)

I now lift in my basement and have started running a few days/week. I get offers to train with friends at various gyms, but know that if I go back, it'll be game on. I've retired and wish to now simply stay in shape. Still weight 185lb @ 12% BF
Heck, I'm getting excited just typing this! I got to go look at wild game pictures quickly!

Those are very impressive lifts. I 100% support her in doing this I think it's awesome. We have different goals but love being in the gym together. I have started doing OCR events and going to start canoe racing. I really want to do the MR340 that's my goal! First I just want to finish the race then I'll work on times. Not sure if she is going to do it with me in a tandem rig or if I'm just going solo. A guy needs something to train for I feel. Just working out becomes that just work after awhile. And her eating a high protein diet helps with me getting to hunt more. Win win.
