Good workout last night. Upping cardio for hunt prep, adding 10 minutes of running to beginning and end of my workout.

Sunday
Rode recumbent bike 15 mins on rolling hills setting got 4.5 miles.

Monday
Was feeling good shoulders doing better still sore but will be for a while. Getting some decent motion back. For only being a week since the injury.
Went for a run felt good till about 2.3 miles and the was tired and legs were weak. No surprise since it been 10 days from my last distances run.

There's some great success stories on here. Awesome job guys.

My wife has got me doing the IronStrength Workout from the book "Running Strong" by Dr. Jordan Metzl. It is intended as a core/leg/full body workout for injury prevention (I used to have IT Band problems) but I wanted to pass it on here because it is the single best workout I have found to get your legs and body ready for carrying a pack up and down the mountains. I think the author sells a DVD set on it, but my wife just has the book and follows the instructions and diagrams.

I don't know if this is the right thread, but I wanted to share it in case somebody else is fighting nagging injuries and might benefit as well.

broke a pretty important piece on my bike frame this morning. bumming right now. yes I have other bikes, but this is the one I ride regularly. Hopefully it will be a quick fix, but I am kind of doubting it.

Well got another run in tonight not a good time like i was before but i made s whole 3 miles. Trying not to focus on the time to much considering my shoulder injury and what not but a whole 1 min slower per mile pace is hard to take.

Nice step count scott. My calories are a back to around 1700 and then exercising to decrease to net under 1500. But ive been increasing the protein intake to try and help recovery and healing for the shoulder
