Atta boy Marcus. You are really making some progress.

My Goal Race time was 13 minutes faster than last years time. 2:30:02 over 13.1 miles with 2000 ft elevation gain in the first 7.5 miles.

Real rough and rocky trail. Out of my 7 years running this race this year was my 3rd Fastest on this course. PR is 2:14:XX

got a quick peddle in last night. found a new trail by the house. I am not fond of 4 wheelers blazing there own path, but this guy has been blazing a trail with his 4 wheeler up a ridge. Sure was a blast, blasting down his trail though.

Nice thats a heck of a good time. Ill be celebrating with a hard cider when i finish
In all seriousness, a little celebration is a good thing. So many people fail at "diets" because it is simply cutting foods out completely that you enjoy tremendously. Often times it isn't the one hard cider you drink, it becomes a problem calorie wise when you drink the whole six pack. My downfall is things like cupcakes or brownies when they end up in the office. I probably undo the workout I did with 3 or 4 workouts when I binge on the sweets, but it is all about the long term commitment.

I have a pregnant wife at home so not a loud to have no sweeties anyway. I ocassionaly will have a chocolate if i have extra calorie space on the app. I also keep sherbert or frozen yogurt in the house for a fairly low calorie treat. Definitely know what your talking about with the cutting out of certain foods wont work. So im just making sure i have calorie space for it or do a little extra workout to make the extra calorie space. For example i ate 2000 calories yesterday and burned 580 calories. So i was net 1420. So under my 1500. Part of my 2000 calories was a nice bowl of strawberry banana frozen yogurt to celebrate my first run training

Training day 2 out of the 3 for the week. This tracker doesn't included my 5 min warmup walk like last one. Pace was up a little bit. Was hard to be motivated to run outside today. Had a cold front come in and its been switching between rain and flurries. On a side note though i got my ipod arm band yesterday ao could at least listen to some tunes.

I know ive been taking up a lot of posts on here lately but i want to thank all you for the support. You guys are part of my support group ive been using to stay focused and keep on track or for new ideas. It is very much appreciated.

There my run. I decided to step up to week 2 in the program. I know im in the second week of training but have extra time so if im not feeling ready to jump i could hold off a week. This week 2 isnt much different than week one so i jumped with rhe program. So its a 5 min warmup walk and 5 min cool down walk. Neither included in tracker. Then its 90 sec jog then 2 min walk alternating for 20 mins. But the last walk in the circuit is only 1 min. Im happy with this pace and was even able to increase pace on the second mile.

Also last two times ive run i have seen deer along the path for most of the run. Helps keep me motivated for deer season.
