Thanks guys one of my passions. I don't get out as much as I used to but still love to go offshore to fish. I have been lucky to be able to leave my boat in a great location. You always have good fishing year round if you want.

Yup, to kill and bull and buck, end of oct-for three weeks. I have a great wife.
Yes you do! One lucky man. My wife is pretty good to honestly, just having 3 boys playing ball is tough. She just can't do it all. This is why I generally take a wait and see approach. If the window of opportunity opens up... then I bolt.
Where is your hunt? I will be in southwest part of the state near Ennis if I can get out there. Basically if I don't go to Colorado for OTC elk I for sure will go to MT to trout fish. May have to hook up if you finish early and want to check out the river. Just let me know??

It's another one of those addictions. Once you do it you end up going all in. Man I love it! Hate I can't do it as often nowadays as I would like to.
I will let you know when I go, if it works out and you wanna come down and go with, then come on. I will have the gear you can use.
If it doesn't work out and you need some help getting started or want some options and ideas I can help you out. I know your plate is full this fall so it may be impossible this year. Either way give me a call if you want to discuss it, if you still have my number.

Yup, you got that righ. I'm trying to setup my time in the gym. I went shooting yesterday with my oldest son. Now that's another story that I'm now going to get into. It's hard to shoot off a bench when the bench I was sitting on was tittering. I just gave up.:(

Matt, I still have it. I'm trying to up my workout time in the gym, and I'm still trying to get better at golf. I went shooting yesterday with my oldest son. It was adventure, it's hard to shoot when only 3 of the legs of the bench I was sitting on touched the ground. I gave up. :(

IMG_2573.jpgJust got back from a week of fishing at Vallecito Res (20 miles east of Durango). Fishing was really tough, only caught a few rainbows and Kokanees. The week before we got there it was a wide open bite.....go figure! Fun anyway and got to put some hours on my new pontoon boat.

ColoradoV, That's a good babysitter! I have a hard time finding one that will take the kids to the park and play. Better pay her a little more per hour to keep her.

CC, That rainbow probably ended up in the smoker, or the BBQ, or the frying pan! Nice fish, greater picture! Ah life on the pontoon!

I took my smoker and we smoked a few bows & koks, great with a few cold cervesas.. Finally got to put some hours on the boat and it really is great. I put a trolling plate on the engine (90 hp Merc) and it really trolled slow, just right ....except the fish didn't cooperate!!!
