Saw quite a few elk in Pennsylvania a cpl weeks ago. That's just a wee bit East.

Wait! Use a long range gun! He'll you could gun it down from Idaho, shoot IKIC the coordinates of where you shot it Via E-mail. He could field dress it, take it to the taxidermist and have it ready for pick up by the time you get to Nevada....

The primary gun will be the old model 70 270 but the 30-30 is going too and if its looking like I can get close enough I just might use it! 22-250 and 32 S&W long pistol are going as well. I will be well armed on this hunt! HAHA!

I'm glad I didn't have much at stake here on the Oregon Coast.

I had a archery elk tag but darn near everything was locked down for fire danger.
No worries on my one excursion I stalked a decent 5x5 which just made me more excited about my 2000 mile trek in a few days.
In <10 days I'll add another western state elk hunt (first WY hunt).

How has the flys been where you are? They have been worse then I've ever seen this year. We also had a crap ton of moths about 2 months ago that where swarming the neiborhoods. Weird insect deal this year.

Agreed, flys have been really flippin bad. I thought it was just out by me, guess not
