Those grouse are tasty! At least they have the blue grouse season coincide with archery seasons so one can be opportunistic when deciding on what to have for dinner. That second picture has my mouth watering.... I would never poach but if I did it would be a grouse! Thanks for posting great pics of home.
More than once, the most successful part of my season has been taking out a grouse at >30 yardsMe too Libi... wouldn't ever pass one up. I have scared elk trying to shoot them before!
Someone had to take one for the team! Thanks for keeping the Nevada bunch in check Lib!HAHA![]()
I was in the Southern part of the StateVery nice...what part of WY were you in?
Funny I never saw anything like that in the southern part of the state when I have been there but Im guessing all those trees grew in the last 3 years! HAHAHA!I was in the Southern part of the State

I was wondering. Didn't see any front claws, but wasn't sure. No, black bear
It was most likely a yearling track by the size. A back foot Grizz track would have the toes in more of a straight line instead of curved and the pad would be more or less triangular. It's kind of hard to tell, but you can kind of make out the wedge in the pad of the instep in the pic also.I was wondering. Didn't see any front claws, but wasn't sure.
Cool Country for sure.
Thanks, I can see what you are looking at there. I have only hunted grizz country once, and actually saw more bears than tracks. It was most likely a yearling track by the size. I hear ya. That kind of view in the forests seem to be more of the norm around the state rather than the exception anymore.Scary part is looking at all the dead trees.... those beetles have sure taken a toll. When the fire comes, it will be a big one.
