Im no expert but I think a mile is nothing for a deer to walk for water or food. With 3 solid water sources within relatively close proximity, your trail camera is gonna be your best friend. A buck may only come to that particular spring once a week, maybe more but you cant know for sure until you get some photo history of the spring.Probably about 2 miles up, 1 mile right, a mile left and a mile below is water. Enough space where they should use that one spring. I decided to not waste time on it this season, and will check it out next season or whenever I draw again
Oh yeah its nothing. My buck I am hunting this year has 3 other springs he can use within a half or quarter mile. But he sticks to only 1 as his main spring.Im no expert but I think a mile is nothing for a deer to walk for water or food. How often would you draw that unit?
Cheers
Have only seen one cat track in this whole range so far and haven't got them on camera either. So I don't think there is very many if any at all running this range. But one thing is, the fawn numbers are insane. At least 75% of the does had at least 1 fawn. Probably 40-50% had twins and we even saw triplets!might snag ya a nice cat off of it too...
This area was 20 years ago I believe. But then ndow came in and had a bunch killer I believe......even better! I figured Nevada was crawling with cats
