Just saw a press release that Yeti has cut all ties with the NRA. I don't own any, but sure as hell won't buy anything with the Yeti label on it now. Too many other products out there that do a great job for a lot less money!

I saw that and couldn't believe it until I saw a official letter about it.

I have also learned that Yeti is leaning towards the left if not all the way to the left when it comes to our Second Amendment.

I also have never even thought of purchasing any of their products because of the cost of them when others work just as good if not better. It will be interesting to see what large outdoor companies like Bass Pro, Cabela's, and Sportsman's Warehouse will do with them.

I'm planning on sending a letter to each of them to let them know how I feed about Yeti's position.

Friday night at a freinds of the NRA dinner they had grizley coolers with the nra logo in one of the drawings. I too will be contacting yeti and those other places that sell them and letting my thoughts known.

I got a cup, beer holder, and tumbler from them when they were extremely cheap at Sportsman's a year or so ago. I no longer will be purchasing any of their items and will make sure others than inquire now how they feel about our way of life.

I GUESS THEY DECIDED GUN OWNERS ARE NOT AMONG THEIR PREFERED CUSTOMERS.

THAT'S O.K.
I no longer will do business with them. hope all who own a gun will follow suit but they won't.

From a buisness standpoint wouldn’t it make we sense to stay out of politics? Just sell overpriced coolers and cups and keep your mouth shut??

few years from now they will announce their support again and get the gun owners to buy . then after a couple years they will once again withdraw it. and it will work because the public has a short memory span.

ask hollywood actors, even bad publicity is good publicity.

a bunch of people who never heard of or even wanted a yeti cooler will now go buy one , simply because they heard the name mentioned ,though they can not remember where.

I just did a search for "NRA and Yeti" and you wouldn't believe the forums that are picking this up. The first couple of pages is nothing but people talking about it.

Me thinks that Yeti put their foot into it.

I saw this on FB and thought I would share it here.

As an ambassador for a company I truly believe in and have personally witnessed put their ‘money where their mouth is’ towards conservation and supporting hunters rights and roles- I challenge you to understand both sides to the story. This was released just today. Before you jump on a bandwagon for either side, educate yourself.

I want you to know the truth and also the official statement from YETI.

“Truth is, we did not cut ties with the NRA or the Friends of the NRA. We changed the structure of our discount program to better align it with the business. I’m not happy that the NRA would choose to mischaracterize and sensationalize this. Know that we do support the Second Amendment, gun owners and their pursuits. Please stick to these talking points publically and feel free to point out your own experience with our brand and people. See below:

As you know, YETI was built on a passion for the outdoors and, as we always have, YETI continues to actively support hunters, anglers, and the broader outdoor community. We believe in the Second Amendment and the Constitution of the United States.

Recently, we made a number of business, pricing and dealer decisions to simplify and clarify our product distribution. Based upon these, we ended a wide range of legacy vendor programs, which affected a number of different organizations. The conclusion of these programs in no way impacts our ongoing support of our consumers’ passions, as YETI continues to work with many organizations that promote the conservation and management of wildlife and habitat restoration.”

I'm sure that their contact us email is so full right not that they have no idea of what is going on. I would be willing to say that there are close to 1000 emails that have been sent to them just today on another forum that I am on.

They also mentioned that Yeti was sold to a New York company a while ago so that could be some of the reasoning for what they did.

Their facebook page is lit up like a Christmas Tree with people telling them what they think.

Their damage control in the AM is going to be something else. This could get interesting.

I saw that half ass response posted as well...in my opinion the damage is done and their true colors shown. I am glad I have never contributed to their wealth and definitely never will. Way better options out there for far less price anyway.

What the heck? Why can't a cooler company shut their mouths, and just make coolers?
Everyone has to push their options, and thought on you these days.
