I think this is a great punishment, fitting for what he did. The only thing missing is if he is also banned from hunting in other states. The story does not say if Texas is part of the western state combine that participates in shared sentences for game convictions.

How long is season there, pretty long if it is like where my friend is from? In MN it would be 4-6 days/yr only for forearms. If it is all of archery season or they have a very long firearms season that's a lot of days!!! Good sentance.

Yes they are part of the compact and the hunting season opens in Nov. and goes until early Jan. unless properties are enrolled in managed lands program.
