I drove thru alpine on Wednesday and did not think the town had an unreal amount of snow, but when I turned down to pinedale from hoback junction, there definitely was a lot of snow. the road was defintanely winter driving. There where a lot of slides, actually all the runouts had them. I fully assumed more would be coming down as the storm went on. We rode into blind bull on Thursday and then rain made for a short day. Rain to the top. We cut the trip short and I was home Friday night.

Sad deal about Josh. My condolences. I had never met him, but my wife and a lot of friends know him. the conditions on the drive down definitely had danger written all over them. the super saturated wet snow was very heavy.

On another note, the blind bull snotel in Wyoming and the bear mountain snotel in north Idaho are reading inches of each other for amount of snow. and we are close to normal now for amount of snowfall.

I will also say the highway from hoback to pinedale was impressive. Full winter driving, but impressive.
