On October 28th I got out whitetail hunting with a type 3 tag with my son. We were overlooking a small creek bottom that we've found sheds in before, and seen does in, so figured we could turn up something. After about an hour and a half of seeing 2 owls and 2 turkeys we were a bit discouraged. We ate our bagged supper and my son says maybe instead of waiting for a buck we should just shoot the first deer we see, I said well we'll see. So within 5 minutes this buck steps out at about 250 yards, I thought ok I'll shoot the first one we see.
Just an awesome time having my boy there with me to share the hunt with!

Awesome. I think you should have passed....but who am I too judge.:p Way to get it done with you son. I'm hoping to get out and shoot a couple does over the next week or 2 with my daughters.
