I just went and posted in the new member forum also. Thanks for the advice so far. I will be going into the draw with 4 points and as far as I can tell I should have a 60 percent chance of drawing 73 this year in the normal draw. Looking for a public land hunt with ample public land. Also not afraid to put some miles on the boots to get away from the roads or crowds on the roads. Not looking for the biggest antelope around just a nice respectable animal of the species. Hoping for lots of chances with stalks. Plan on starting out with the bow than if I can't close the deal I will switch over to the rifle. Any help is greatly appreciated and also understand of you want to keep your spots a secrete. I have been reasearching quite a bit. But hoping for just a little info that I am missing thanks for anything you can help with.
Did you get drawn? Our party of 5 got drawn for Unit 73 this year but we had 5 preference points. We have been hunting in Unit 21 which is just North of it as a second choice hunt but haven't gotten drawn at all for the last 2 years.

If you are looking for an RV spot you will have to stay around Casper or Kaycee. We did get a spot in Edgerton, which is just East of Hy25 at about 35 south of Kaycee. Potable water is an issue if you plan to dry camp and that is why we have opted for a RV spot the last 3 years we hunted there.

Look at Fish and Game "walk in area" map that has just been updated. You will need to get a colored GPS with a HuntX sim card since the area is checkerboarded with private and public land and a Wyoming Atlas. Great tools to have.

The season starts in Sept and last until until October 31. DON'T GO THE FIRST WEEK AT ALL, way too many road hunters.

We are still looking at some general areas to hunt and will need to contact the Fish and Game Warden for more info.

Let me know if you got drawn or not.
