Great pics ssliger. I love the one of the kids in the sunset. Looks like your family really enjoys spending quality time together. Congrats.

When my wife and I started looking for a place to retire to from our lifetime home in California about 25 years ago, Wyoming was my choice. I love the Lander area. We also liked the Bitteroot Valley in Monana, as my Grandfather was born and raised there. But my wife liked SW Colorado and convinced me that this was the place for us. Love it here, but always wondered what if.....

Left Wyoming to go to college and have unsuccessfully been trying to get back ever since. Being 60 miles from the state line is too far away.

Some pics from our mule deer hunt in 2010. Region C by Buffalo. all public, DIY. Bucks werent bad, not great. I am the big tall ugly looking guy!! :) Biggest was 22" wide. Smaller was 19". I missed a buck that was that 18-19", but heavier. The other guy not holding a horn missed a buck at 400 yards or so, it was probably about the same as the 22" we got. Still cant believe I missed my buck.....he was close, but moving fast. I paniced and shot.............should have just let him go and hoped he stopped, but after I missed him at about 60 yards straight down and running, he was not going to stop. stupid on my part. lesson learned...be patient!

Not sure what kind of snake. It was maybe 10"long. Buddy almost put his hand on it while we were climbing out of a hole.

Going back out this October. Cant wait!
I have better pics in my email that I forgot to download, so these will have to do!

we didn't see or hear any wolves where we were, but grizzlies were everywhere. you couldn't walk 100 yards thru the timber without seeing bear crap
