These sheds are from one of the largest bulls ever recorded in WY. Only one typical and one non-typical have ever been recorded in B&C with a higher gross score. I'm glad this world class elk is still alive and hopefully making lots of babies. My understanding is his sheds (on a shoulder mount) from two years ago will be on display at the visitor center in Jackson this year. If you look close you'll see a small bump by his left side fourth. If my memory serves me right that was a small drop tine, maybe 8 or 10 inches long back then.

Wowsa!! We still can't pick up sheds in our part of Wyoming. Actually, I meant law abiding citizens can't pick up sheds. Shady guys are cleaning house and from what I've heard, people don't find much on "opening day"

These sheds aren't mine. I help sort antlers and score some of the bigger ones for the boy scouts in Jackson. I hope they do something special (i.e. visitor center) with this pair so that we can all enjoy them rather than sell them to a collector at the sale this spring.

I haven't scored them yet. The sheds I scored 2 years ago from this bull I had at low 430's and I was probably too conservative with the spread. With the extra spread and a few inches of missing broken tips he was realistically 440. He will be less this year. I'll post his score when I get it done.

Something I've never forund yet is a set of elk sheds.
I found an really nice matching 6 point set while guiding an elk hunter once... I let the hunter take them. I still regret that as I really didn't feel the guy had any appreciation for them. They weren't huge but likely off of a 330-340" bull- very nice.

I scored him this afternoon and came up with 427 gross. His main beams are 60 1/2" long and I gave him a 45" spread credit. I found the score sheet I had on him 2 years ago and saw that the drop tine he had then was 16 2/8 but this year it's only a 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" long bump.

I wish i did..the couple times i saw him i didnt have a good camera on me..I have a couple photos from 2 years ago when he had the droptine that were taken by the biologist, but not this years. I have seen a couple of him online though, if i can find one to share i will. . So did his typical frame this year outscore his typical frame when he had the dropper a couple years ago? He is truly a giant bull and hopefully keeps on putting out those genetics.
