It isn't for Google Earth but it will overlay satellite images onto the units. Plus you can add in public lands. It is a great tool.

Are the file types only compatible with the pro version? If so, I'm guessing the data could be converted.

pro version is free, get it.
Pro will import geo tif images as well as shapefile.
HF units are old/outdated unless they updated recently.

OnXMaps has a download as well (I believe that's where I got it). Shows land ownership, unit boundaries, forest road status, etc...

Worth a look:
The sma layer server from geocommunicator is a good server for all ownership a except pvt owner names. And earthpoint topo layer is a seamless usgs topo server.

I will try downloading the pro version and import the shape files. Thanks for the clarification. Not sure if the HF data is up to date.

HF WY Elk was from 2007 when I checked today.
after installing Pro, use any email, legit or fake, then use GEPFREE as the password when asked.
