Can anyone see how many applications and tags there were in the random 113-1 draw?

Curiosity. If anyone drew it you can IM me. I regret not trying. Could have made time.

ETA: No tags made it to the random draw. 3 for PP, 3 for PP SP.

Guess I don't need to feel any regret.

Drew my unit 41 elk tag for the bighorns! This will be my second western hunt and first time hunting Wyoming.

Question for those in the know... if I put in for the preference point option and drew, what just happened. Do I now have a point going into next year's draw? If not, am I able to still buy a point for next year this fall?

If you draw your first choice you lose all your points for that species and are not eligible to buy another preference point until the following year. Next year you will have 0 PP's.

The cow tag that I applied for and didn't draw went from 88% odds last year to 58% this year. The quota decreased and the number of applicants increased. Looks like that's the general trend for most tags in Wyoming.
I was just noticing the same thing. General tag stayed the same with 2 points required but my tag went from 3 to 4 points required.

I drew 107 type 4 Cow tag. Pretty jazzed and looking forward to November 15!

If anyone has any info on 107 for the Cow season I'd appreciate any I could get on my PM. Thank ya kindly!

The unit I applied in had similar odds last year and was 75% this year.

I can't say I don't ever get lucky. The hunt area 13 cow tag I drew I seen had 62 nonres applicants this year, compared to 34 last year-for 16 tags. 😮 That's almost 50% less odds this year.
