The time has finally arrived. After reading everyone else's stories on this forum, I finally get my turn!
I'm leaving work early to return home and jump in my already loaded truck and head west from eastern Ohio.
I have multiple tags for various areas and several species. I'm considering this trip a scouting mission with hopes of learning a few new areas, having a GREAT time, and hopefully filling a few tags in the process.
See everyone in about 2 weeks!

Good luck Buddy!

All that homework and prep is gonna payoff; you know this: but each day you live it, out in mountains or sage, is worth many times what we will learn from other means.

Stick with your plans; but let your boots on the ground guide any changes and don't be afraid to do so.

Be safe out there! Looking forward to the pictures and stories. [emoji6][emoji266][emoji482]

I am with you Bonecollector only it is two weeks from today I will hit the road. Heading to Sheridan area for Thanksgiving week late season antelope hunt. My 14 year old son and I have 4 tags. It is his first trip to Wyoming. I am bringing the whole family on this trip. It is new ground for me to learn about and can't wait to get there. I think the trip is around 1400 miles one way.
Good luck and enjoy.

Good luck!!
Every time I go to a new state or area I sort of go with learning in mind. If I actually fill tags it's great but learning it is the number 1 objective for the next time out.

Bonecollector was in contact with me this evening and wanted me to let everyone know how his hunt is going; he's somewhere in the stix and can't access the forum. [emoji38] :

"Filled 2 of 4 tags and still hunting."

He got the cow elk and a mule deer, not sure if the mulie was a buck or doe, either way, he's got meat for winter!
