WY Tag numbers are up

Quite a few increases following a bad winter year- surprising to me. Guessing they adjust some of them down before the draw.
These are increases from the Feb. recommendations when the winter had been really rough. I think they were pleased with how the last month went. It would be good to compare these numbers with last year.

Regions E, F, G and H are all down for general hunts, even from the Feb #s. For limited hunts, there are more increases from Feb. than decreases.

Some of the seasons shortened.

Remember, these are only recommendations, the public hearings may have a lot to do with the final #s. Residents, who know what this winter was like, may not be happy with these recommendations.
And some non-residents like myself. Seeing pretty big increases in a few deer areas I hunt that I think may hurt population and quality. On the other hand, I like seeing a few more antelope doe tags- maybe I can actually draw one of them.

I notice the proposed open date for area I entered is on a Sunday. Is it normal to start a season on Sunday? It really does not matter to me, but I figure locals would like a Saturday opener.
I know a lot of the seasons begin on October 1st or 15th every year, regardless of which day it falls on. This year both of those dates just happen to be on a Sunday.
