After all the research I've done I've decided that this will be the area that I plan to hunt for my first Mule deer and Antelope. I'm looking into the following units 32,33,163 & 169. I have no problem walking in from the road and setting up camp if needed. I've talked to the warden in these areas and have gotten a little advice from him. I haven't received my blm maps or gps chip yet but if anyone is willing to give me some advice on where to start looking and what items are needed for this trip. This is my first trip out west and I can't wait. If you would rather message me that is fine as well. Thank you all in advance for any help with this.

Your correct on that, it's in the area of the deer unit 169. It would be antelope units 20,21,22 and 113. Sorry about the confusion. Thanks for keeping me honest.

The Ed. O Taylor WHMA is about all I know about that area and some decent fishing if you want to walk down into the Middle Fork Powder River Canyon. Its a pretty good check in some areas to hike out of the canyon to see if you are ready for hunting, at least for this fat guy, lol. I have put in for elk in that area, which is also 33 I believe, but have never drawn, so I have never hunted there. Not much info from me, sorry about that. Good luck. Driving back from Hole In the Wall and those kinds of places, the deer (both whitetail and muley), and antelope are in the fields at the bottom, so there are usually good numbers of both there from what I can tell. Especially later in the year they are seen a lot in those fields.

There are leftover cow tags a lot of times I think, but I don't really know the area that well. Thought I should throw that in there.
