Can someone please briefly explain the WY PP averaging process? In AZ they round.

I have 2 PP, one buddy has 2 PP and another buddy has 1 PP. If we average to 1.67, how do you get 1.67 numbers in the draw?

Thanks!!!

It's a point system so in a nutshell you will draw before someone with 1 point or 2 people with 1.5points but not before a person with 2 points given you all were applying for the same unit.

They look at people with more points do draw and they list you guys in order respectively.

so for a group application, having my buddy with 1 point on the application will reduce my odds of drawing?

I will still have better odds than someone with 1 point but worse odds than someone with 2?

I like how Wyoming does the PP averaging. It seems like the fairest way for a bunch of guys to have a chance to hunt together.
For next year, our group of six is looking at a 3.88 avg! So we will pretty much have the top <4 spot locked!

The problem is that Colorado's group points are based on the group member with the lowest points...no averaging. You need to be careful on selecting you group.
Everyone would really have to be on the same page to make the party worthwhile in Colorado! You would be better off rotating who draws tags, with the non tag holders acting as guide/pack mule!!
