I have to admit the past few years , it seems like I have been letting life get in the way of my calling. seems like something always comes up .

since I keep making excuses not to go ,instead of just admitting I am getting old,fat and lazy, I am turning to living vicariously through you folks who suck it up and get it done!

We called in 10 over a couple days of real cold mornings from Thanksgiving into earlier December, but with the well above temps and wind I haven't been out in 2 weeks now. We'll get back after it in the next week or two. Tanned the Jackolope my boy killed and going to use it as a decoy on top the caller.

I did go out last weekend . winds were high and I got skunked . hoping to get out sunday. saturday I am putting brakes on a nephews car. trying to teach him how and save him some money.

The temperature is supposed to drop in the next couple days here in Eastern Ohio so conditions should improved for some predator hunting. Looking forward to it!

man that is awesome ! it has been almost 40 years since I trapped anything.
I didn't do much of it but one of my favorite memories is coming around a juniper ,thinking where is my tra........... when suddenly, a hissing bobcat explodes in a rage . lol. durnt near soiled myself. only bobcat I ever got.



my trapping days were short lived.
did I mention above that I am lazy??? trapping is work!

Bobcats are always interesting in a trap but this was a first for me, had an interesting time letting him out of the trap.

a friend of mine caught this guy several years ago . season was not open for lion at the time so he had to let it go. he said it was quite the process also.lol.
it swatted at him during the process and ripped his glove from his hand but no damage to himself.

I would much rather deal with the bear. Awesome picture looks like he is using MB650s same trap that caught the bear.

I think I am happy not dealing with either wouldn't mind seeing some videos of those releases though.

I can't speak to the cougar but for the bear I called a couple of my nephews, my two boys and myself we used three catch poles did our best to pin him. It took a while but actually went fairly smooth all things considered.
