Well... I see my kick@%# motivational pep talk did some good.
Marcus- Good job on doubling up your mileage. Still not where we want you but you've closed the gap tremendously. Kudos
Scott- Any "good measure" will be seen in the field. You may type it here, but the mountains will know. Keep after it.
ArchAnthony- promises, promises. I see no record of your determination in preparation for Colorado. I could forgive you but the mountains will not.
TimR must have gotten too comfortable being uncomfortable or possibly did too many burpees cause he is MIA.
Slugz- get off the cheer line and get in here! I know you're a tough dude, but it only gets harder every year. BTW- you state-side or oversees?

BC:
Today was Back, Traps & Abdominals
Thursday was 2 tempo miles at 7:05 pace on level and another 4.67 miles at moderate pace at elevation ( Was told I look like a mobile fire hydrant, but that's ok)
I'll need to figure out how to post pics again...

Alright "Nancy" lets get after it! Heavy packs this fall are the end goal.
~BC
Yeah I know the goals 23 miles in that time if I remember correctly. Legs are having a tough time right know as I'm the only one running two departments at work from 1-930pm and I'm doing these workouts when I get home at 1030pm. The only benefit of this shift is I'm actually getting more sleep averaging around 7.5 hours a night

Alright! Enough already!
I take some time to donate to my employer as well as deciding whether I wanted to storm Area 51and I come back to this! What the #@$%!!
Slugz is talking about a "dirty 7"
Go Deep is reminiscing about 'high school'
TimR is doing "GIANT SETS" in honor of the 1969 lunar landing (both of which may be conspiracy theories)
ArchAnthony is "running with a girl" (this one I might let slide since he won't be climbing mountains like a girl with me this fall)
Tim is burp'n in Idaho and knows its too early. Maybe they haven't brought out desert yet....
Marcus is doing only half his workouts while I'm away.... (he may get a pm on this one)
& Scott, our moderator, and fellow Iron Warrior in the gym, sits ideally by.... Maybe this is why the forum moderation just received additional support....

I've had very little personal time the past month and I've ramped up my intensity on W/O's. I intend to go in early, hike further/higher than anyone else, and stay as long as needed in order to kill the biggest mulie I can find in my unit.

I see I'm going to need to quit my day-job (yes day JOB not day DRINK) and get you all ready for the mountains this fall if we expect to cut any tags.
Suck it up Buttercup. Embrace the suck. Start Hammering
You don't want me coming to your gym for a workout cause if the bar ain't bending you're just pretending. If you're not pealing and ringing your cloths out after a run stay home. You can't cheat the grind. It knows how much you've invested. It won't give you anything you haven't worked for.
Now get after it!
Blah Blah Blah, you remind me of some of my high school teachers and coaches, LOL.

A full week on the road doing literally almost no physical activity for 12 hours a day, down 1 more pound. That's a pretty big win keeping the numbers moving in the right direction with not a lot of activity. Bike ride, baseball, basketball, and maybe a run this weekend with the kids, then one more week of minimal activity.

Leg day. Started with 30 minute stair master. Pyramid style. Leg extensions 5 X 20 with lunges in between sets. Leg press and finished with leg curls. Partial workout below then my sleeve shut off my workout tracker 😟.

Hotel gym work out. Out of town for a tradeshow.

Kind of bummed about the new neighbors dog. I am doing my work out yesterday morning, and I look out my window to see a dog chasing a doe. 20 feet off of my deck. I am sure it is a nice dog, but not how I want to meet the out of state neighbors.

Sunday
Got my but handed to me at work today. Still running two departments at night alone now going on my second week.
Got home knowing I need to work out.

Recumbent bike 30 mins 9.6 miles was all I could get out of the legs tonight so after that did 10 mins of AB workouts and then spent some time with the foam rollers and stretching.

Havent talked weight in awhile when I got back from vacay I was back to my start weight from 3 years ago 360. I went to my first class for my 6 month regimen 2 weeks ago. Which was a nutrition 101 and have been implementing the things we discussed in that class. And will weigh in tomorrow to see how it's working. Then mid August I go for a 1 on 1 with the nutritionist

Marcus, Nutrition is the biggest piece of the equation. Watch your food intake (caloric goal) and drink only water and this will make a big difference. You did it 3 years ago trying to find your way, not all you need to do is follow the path back.
Git'r done

I am the champion! After 7 hours of biking, running, baseball, my 9 and 11 year old said their tired! I out played my kids yesterday!!! VICTORY!
And I'm not even sore today!

Marcus the intake is definitely key, don't try and change everything at once thought. We're creatures of habit, change one thing hold yourself to it for a few weeks and make it a habit, then pick on the next thing.

Agree with GD. Change 1 thing at a time. It usually takes about 10 days for a change to become habitual.
Also, have you thought about doing a quick workout in the AM. This could increase your metabolism for the rest of the day and assist in burning more calories as well as get you up/alert and ready to 'take on the day'.
