Did a new HiiT video from the same company. It was 40 mins plus 4 mins of cool down. It was a low impact video which was nice and they added a few ab sets in there to. Another great video to add to my list

Don't really care what the scale says...but do care how the pants fit. Refuse to get larger size...DAMMIT!

Two weeks ago fired up the old P90x videos and got after it. And got back on track logging my meals.

Amazing how many "hidden calories" I consume. Love, LOVE, L O V E cheese. But man, I really can't hammer down 4-6 ounces at a time.

Pants are already starting to fit better. Dropped 4 lbs in just two weeks. Now the hard part...staying on track. Today is Legs and Back + abs. Tomorrow is Kempo (which I really like). Just need to keep knocking out the workouts, and logging food.

Daubs, I love the P90X videos also, but the arthritis often makes me lay off them for a while. I also agree that cheese is a primary food group, but I can indulge myself without guilt when I do a stint of the modified protein diet. Meat, cheese, green salads with home-made blue cheese dressing, and I will lose those four pounds in just a couple days. I'm told (usually by the chubby guys) that it is just water weight, but if that is the case, how can that weight stay off for months after-words?

I'm too cheap to buy newer P90x videos, or the subscription to get them all via web. When the weather is better I mix in biking, hiking with my pack and some lbs, a little running, wife likes to kayak, and swimming laps. Gym has a nice lap-pool.

My knees used to ache when i got up in the mornings. Thankfully I stopped playing football after HS, but love me some pick-up basketball. Working at a University meant the NBA (Noon-Basketball-Association, as we called it). Faculty, staff and students romping around the court for 60-90 minutes three times a week. I stopped doing that when I ruptured my Achilles tendon : (

But still played softball for few years after that. But the knees and joints still ached.

Wife diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis three years ago, so she went gluten and dairy free. She taunted me to give it a try. No way in hell i was giving up cheese and dairy. But I tried the gluten free thing.

To my surprise, I felt better. And my joints don't ache in the morning at all. You might think about giving that a try.

I'm 50, and while I don't have the cardio capacity or strength I did 15 years ago, my body doesn't hurt.

Saturday

Was nice day minus the wind 15mph. Little chilly 39 degrees so went on run. I split the 5 miles in two with short break between to stretch and get water.

Monday

Doctor's office called said everything was good minus the slight high cholesterol. Just to watch some of my food choices.

Went for run today so i can run Wednesday since Thursday they are calling for rain snow mix.

Felt good was surprised by the time felt i ran faster then that but looking at my route closer that i use at night to stay on lighted paths there is lots of road crossing and a lot of sharp turns that i think affect my time a little and slow my momentum. Just a thought i had well on my cool down walk back.
