pinned my self under my snowmobile over new years. trapped in a tree well with the sled on top of me. Digging myself out I pulled\strained a muscle from my right knee to my lower back. Injuries suck.

stretching felt good though this morning.

As they say here in Minnesota; "Ooff Dah!!" I spent three hours once digging myself out of a tree hole south of Island Park a few years ago. A snow squall suddenly came up and my buds were all frantically searching for me before dark. I do my best to avoid that situation because besides the hurt, those injuries sure do set you back. Will be headed out that way for a week of riding next week. God's speed Tim, and you'll be back at it soon.

I call this the "Good Luck" workout. I do this on Friday mornings, No Rest in between exercises besides what it takes to set up equipment. Go as fast as you can, if you puke you know you're doing it right! Reps are the first number and feel free to vary the exercises as you desire, repeat each superset 5 times.
I do circuits on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and lift everyday after work. My lifting is four days due to students having early release on Fridays so we lift Monday through Thursday after school. I try to alternate push and pull days with them and end each workout with a cardio burnout. Hitting both strength and conditioning as most of the kids are one sport athletes such as Volleyball players and Football players who don't wrestle or play basketball but want to maintain condition and build strength. We are a small but mighty club.

10 Bench
20 DB Bench
30 Shoulder Press
40 Incline Bench
50 Running Man
40 Box Jumps
30 Squats
20 Lunges
10 Step Ups

Repeat 5 Times!

it is weird. I have been moving furniture, did a 12 mile night ride last night and the back seems ok. I had to put air in tires for about 10 dollies and the bending over did not feel good. Sitting in a chair seems weird, but moving is ok. But either way it is getting better, I am just missing all of the great powder in the hills.

Hang in there Tim. I'd love to come out and bike some of those trails!

Monday: Chest, Tri's, and Traps

Tuesday: I ran 3 miles. It was my speed day (for me anyway) 3 miles in 21:45

Been shoveling a lot of snow here in the east. That is a true workout itself. :)

My workouts have been regular and going well. Only really running on the weekend though, but getting good cardio weight type of sessions.

Been doing total body workouts 3 days a week this month, gotta stay in shape for skiing next month. Back to split routine next month and start cardio prep for Co. in Sept!

Tim, do you have a foam roller? I had a back surgery 17 years ago and I do not know what I would do without one! Get healed!

Little update so the holidays killed my working out and eatting habits and never got them back. So fast forward to this past Monday had my physical (first in 3 years) and weight was way more then i even realized. And some health issue with my parents i discussed with my doctor. Both agreed it was time for a life style change. Wants me to drop to 250 from my 360 by next years physical. He recommended a 1500 calorie diet with light exercising to start. So far i have done well with the calorie intake being between 1500-1600 and lots of water no sugary drinks. Been tough but im learning things to put together and whats has what for calories. Then i had to decided if i want a gym membership or find a piece of equipment to use at home. Decided a piece of equipment would work better and be easier with it at home verses going to the gym 20min away. So found a nice recumbent bicycle cause i love biking and it low impact for my knees. And to help me with all this i got the myfitnesspal ap and it works awesome for keeping track of my activities. So thanks in advance for any support you goes give.

The hardest part is getting started! Sounds like you've already done that. A wake up call is always something to put a little extra drive into us and I'm sure once you start seeing positive results, the drive will only Continue to increase. Add something simple for exercise before riding your bike like standing up and sitting back down in a chair repeated times. This is a nice easy way to get some leg strength in addition to riding the bike. If you can do push ups and sit ups, that'll give you an exercise for upper, lower and abs......

Well it sunday so it my official weigh in day. So since i started monday i have dropped down to 348. Thats a loss of 12 pounds yeah. Nice to see a big drop but know thats going to be the easiest weight to drop.(water weight)

My recymbent bike is together and i used it on a low setting last night for short 5 min try out after getting it together. So progress has started.

Tweaked my hip doing front squats last Wednesday and haven't been able to run since. I walked as fast as I could for 30 minutes this morning after a quick chest routine. I hope it gets better soon as not being able to run even the few miles per week I do is grinding on me.

Bought a fat bike in September. Sure glad I did with all the snow the Colorado front range (metro Denver) is getting this year. super fun and a much more difficult workout than a road bike or even a mountain bike.
