Yeah it's a good way to ride some different trails and push myself a bit harder than I do on my local rides

Lot of elevation in this run this morning another reason to slow the pace-LOL. 60? and low humidity. Sweet!

Whole family got a good one in yesterday. Up early, to bed late. Hiked above timberline fishing all day yesterday, somewhere around 8 miles total. Had my pack on, with about 35 pounds on all day, felt good!

Mountain Fitness reality check... no matter how hard we work in the gym, on the road, track or stairs; "you can't cheat the mountain pilgrim, mountain's got its own ways."

My wife and I have been hiking as much as we can with our kids in backpacks ever since the snow melted. We both walk and run/do stairs with heavy packs and I lift a strongman routine as much as possible. However, we hit a different mountain with a lot elevation gain over a shorter distance this past Friday morning. She was carrying our 1 year old at around 30lbs. total pack weight and I was toting our 3 year old at closer to 50lbs. total pack weight. Long story short, the amount of work we've been putting in still didn't prepare us for the grind the mountain had waiting for us. We both realized that while our training was helpful it simply did not and will not replace actual time spent in the mountains hiking and carrying weight. I realize that not all of us have mountains to "train" in but those of us who do need to spend as much time as we can being active in them if we hope to perform at our best when it really matters.

And a 10 minute HIIT program on the "Death bike" that's what my wife named the airdyne bike we picked up Sunday. I agree it's appropriately named.

Put a shirt on! This is a family-oriented venue. Ha!

15K for the day. Prepping to go back to work. Putting a stealth 7RM together for small-parcel private land (with permission) hunting.

Now on a serious note, you?ve got to post pictures of this new build as inquiring minds want to know. [emoji102]

I can relate Tim as I?ve been traveling a lot the past several months. Working out on the road is limited to crappy gyms or strictly cardio. However I do take my bands with me and try to get some sort of resistance training in when I can

Will do. Rifle and rail just showed up recently, but scope and rings are delayed due to source... Should be a good experiment with the Bergara though. I plan to hunt with it here in Colorado this year, as long as it shoots as good as my other 7RMs.

I am not willing to have a barrel threaded on any other existing rifle that is shooting good as is. A few of the rifles had threaded barrels to begin with, and now have muzzle brakes (flash hiders for the ARs) installed, so do not really want to mess with them either.

For whatever reason, my Remington 700 in 300 BLK groups better with the can installed, and using my handloads, than without the can and using factory ammo. Will leave it alone now, too. Ha!

SOP for fitness today. The wife does want to go on the 1-mile evening walk in a bit. I am always game for that. Walked about six miles so far today.
