Im getting a new gps unit next week and ive narrowed it down to the etrex 30x and the Oregon 600. I know a lot of you guys have the 600 but im not sure I want the touchscreen. Do any of you have the new upgraded etrex 30x? Just looking for some advice from anyone with experience with the 2 units. Thanks

Had the Oregon for 3 years and use the heck out of it in all kinds of weather. I'd buy it again tomorrow!

I have an Oregon 600 with chips for Colorado & Wyoming. Have had it for 4 years, not sorry at all. I load the data into my home computer and can look at everything on bigscreen It is really great!

I use the 64s and really like it. with that being said, if I was to do it over again I would get the Oregon 600. My buddy has it and its more user friendly than the 64s

I've had the Montana 650t for the past 2 years and like it a lot. I like the larger screen and the touch screen is very user friendly. Just like everyone else has recommended, get the onXhunt mapping chip / software and you will be good to go.

I use the etrex 30 with NM hunting chip. It's a fine GPS. It just doesn't have the touch screen. Battery life is good. It doesn't have the camera function that some units have which I think is not necessary. It is also reasonable in price.

I have the 600 as well. The only "bad" that I don't like about it, is that regular batteries don't work too long in it. Maybe I should try lithiums.
