When will KUIU packs go on sale?

I like my pack, I have the icon pro 1850 for day hunts and the 7200 bag for overnighters. I?ve yet to pack meat with it so I can?t tell you how much I really like it yet. I haven?t killed anything since I got it, maybe the squeaking has scared all the critters away??

I've done 3 deer, 5 elk, and 9 antelope solo with my ultra 6000, I got no complaints.

The 1850 pack is too small. Doesn't fit my spotting scope and tripod very good. I ended up buying the 3200 bag and my 1850 just sits in my gear pile. I also have the 5000 bag or 5200 or whatever it is when I need a bigger pack. I've packed out about 6 animals with mine, it is a decent pack but is starting to show a lot of wear. I've come to the conclusion on KUIU that they only care about lightweight and durability of their gear isn't a top priority. Just my 0.02

When you guys say it is squeaking, where is the noise coming from?? If it is the pivot point of the belt, you can always buy extra fine graphite powder and it should eliminate the noise.....at least it did for my generation 1 Kuiu 6000.

You would think Kuiu would figure this out and fix it or include some. Or at least instructions.

X2 on the noisy pack. Squeaks like an old saddle. Comfortable but annoying.

Mine squeaks like a son of a gun sometimes as well. It comes from the waist belt, but sounds like it is up by the load lifters. I put some duct tape on mine and it fixed it. I also have figured out how to pack it where it doesn't squeak as much. I needed more weight on the hip belt than what I had and it was good to go. Not sure if this will help you, but it helped mine.

That's a tough call buddy.. With no holidays approaching, I couldn't guess when the next time they'd have a sale. Don't take my word for it though, I wouldn't want you being mad at me if a sale pops up soon!

I would say go for it now with the discount you do have! Or maybe try calling them and asking if they have any sales/promotions on the horizon.

This is an issue a lot of folks have. Kuiu actually addressed it a couple years back. It?s the carbon frame rubbing the material.

Pick up some carbon powder and sprinkle some down in that pocket that holds the frame.. it worked perfectly for me.
